After reports confirmed that Dumbledore would appear in the 'Fantastic Beasts' sequel, another explosion hits HP fanatics. While the young Hogwarts Headmaster will not be in the first movie, J.K. Rowling has revealed what could be the ultimate spoiler - a young and openly gay Albus Dumbledore.

According to Time, it was during the press conference with the other 'Fantastic Beasts' cast members and producer David Heyman when Rowling talked about what to expect from Dumbledore's earlier years.

"I can't tell you everything I would like to say. This is a five-part story, there are lots to unpack in that relationship. I will say you will see Dumbledore as a younger man, and quite a troubled man because he wasn't always the sage. We'll see what I think is the most formative period of his life."

She gave away hints that her favorite character Dumbledore could be openly gay when she continued saying, "As far as his sexuality is concerned, watch this space."

For the avid followers of the 'Harry Potter' series, it can be easily recalled that it was in a 2007 Interview at Carnegie Hall when Rowling first spilled the beans saying, "I always thought of Dumbledore as gay. Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald, and that added to his horror when Grindelwald showed himself to be what he was."

Hollywood Life even released how Rowling already clearly sees the character of Dumbledore when she said, "In fact, recently I was in a script read-through for the sixth film, and they had Dumbledore saying a line to Harry early in the script saying 'I knew a girl once, whose hair...' [laughter]. I had to write a little note in the margin and slide it along to the scriptwriter, 'Dumbledore's gay!'"

Given this earlier revelation, it makes sense for the young Dumbledore's character to develop as such. It would be a real struggle for fans to hold their excitement and wait for the second movie to find out how Johnny Depp as Grindelwald and the future Dumbledore's relationship will grow.

In a week's time, Harry Potter fans will be lining up to watch the first installment 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.' The movie opens on November 18.
