Trump Win Sparks Riot In California; Clinton Supporters Go To Streets

President-elect Donald Trump's victory was not accepted by supporters of Democrat Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton as they took their anger out on the street and sparked various rallies and riots.

Students from most Bay Area high schools blocked the streets along Spring and 1st streets and burned a giant Trump head in effigy in front of the Los Angeles City Hall. An estimate of 1,000 protesters were there.

Just after the announcement of the election results, Clinton supporters stormed in front of the Trump Tower in New York City, where Trump is located at that time, and shouted "Not my President!" repeatedly.

At Berkley High School in California, half of the student body was walked out of their classroom and protested on the results. They tweeted #NotMyPresident while other chanted si, se puede or Yes, We Can (President Barack Obama's slogan) based on the social media posts.

While it may seem like some are peaceful protests, some parts of California turned violent with some Clinton supporters had a physical clash with Trump supporters. Police have reported that people have been chanting their displeasure repeatedly on the streets.

Photos also showed that some of her supporters are burning the American flag as a protest while some set trash on fires. Police authorities had no immediate arrests issued.

In his speech, Trump urged all Americans to unite and help him to reach the American dream for everyone. At 8 A.M. UMT time, Clinton had her concession speech, saying that she offered her service to the 45th president of US.

Obama has also acknowledged Trump's win and even invited him for a dinner at the White House to talk about having a smooth transition from his administration to the new one.Most of the Americans are hopeful that things will turn out better once the emotions have subsided.
