‘Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress’ News & Update : Compilation Films To Audition Fans For Kabane Voices
Fans of Japanese anime "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" are invited to contribute to the voice work in the compilation films that will be released at the end of 2016. Auditions will be conducted on social media site nana for interested fans who want to lend their voice work for the zombie-like Kabane. Fans who will be chosen will be properly credited in the final films.
The show's producers have chosen a scene (see YouTube video at the end of the article) as a reference for the auditionees who will be required to record their groans and screams on Nana and use the hashtag #kabane_voice. A Japanese-only application form is available online that fans need to fill out and submit. Casting for the second "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" compilation film is scheduled on November 15. Twenty slots (ten for each film) have been allotted that will be announced in early December.
A lottery will also choose five fledgling voice actors who will attend the premiere and meet the main cast of the "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" compilation film. They can bring along a guest, according to the website Animes News Network. An autographed poster and a pamphlet will be given to ten applicants for their efforts.
The first, second "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" compilation film, "Tsudou Hikari' ("Gathering Light"), is scheduled to be released on December 31, while the second offering, "Moeru Inochi" ("Burning Life"), will premiere on January 7. Both films will have a two-week running schedule.
The original "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" film anime had received critical acclaim and wider acceptance from fans. It bagged the Best Work (TV Broadcast), Best Soundtrack, Best Screenplay, and the Character Design honors at the 2016 Newtype Anime Awards.
Meanwhile, News everyday reported that Aniplex Japan had revealed the wraparound cover for the third "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" DVD/BD release.
