The Vampire Diaries Season 8, Episode 4 Spoilers - Deaths, Returns, New Characters
Hit TV Show "The Vampire Diaries" eight season was rumored to be the season where Nina Dobrev returns as Elena Gilbert. After leaving the show as a series regular in 2015, fans have been waiting for Dobrev's return. This rumor has been circling the vine for months while awaiting actual confirmation from the star herself, or the producers of the show.
However, earlier this week, news broke that the actress, Dobrev, has confirmed to join another TV series - not The Vampire Diaries. Even though the CW network have already confirmed that they are talking to Dobrev about a possible return, nothing has been finalized as of late.
The other TV series Dobrev will appear in was confirmed to be on "Workaholics" seventh season as the actress revealed it herself on her Twitter. The star posted a video of Adam Devine with the hashtag #Workaholics on her official Twitter account.
Although this apparently confirmed her inclusion on the show, there are no details as to who's character Dobrev will play. It is also still a mystery as to whether she'll return as Elena on The Vampire Diaries after her work on Workaholics.
Fans of the show should also prepare themselves for a heartbreaking death on the next episode. Season 8, Episode 4 titled, "An Eternity of Misery" is expected to reveal whether Tyler (Michael Trevino) will survive Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) attack.
After successfully knocking down Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) using the tuning fork, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Alaric (Matthew Davis) has taken her into their custody. Damon and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) are also now bounded to Sybil and rumors suggest that the duo will be the ones to free Sybil from Stefan and Alaric.
The synopsis for Episode 4 reads "Tasked with finding a mysterious artifact, Damon's latest mission takes him to Texas where a violent run-in with Peter Maxwell leads to a surprising revelation. Meanwhile, after gaining the upper hand in their fight to save Damon and Enzo, Stefan and Alaric team up and uncover the origins of the mysterious force they're up against. Finally, Matt returns to the fray after his past and present collide in an unexpected way."
There is also a spoiler photo of Joel Gretsch's character, Peter Maxwell, spreading around online. This is the first look fans have gotten to the said character. Peter Maxwell is believed to be Matt's long, lost father.
