"Homeland" Season 6 is already given a specific date and the events in the show takes place in New York City. The action for this upcoming season has come from being in Europe to the Big Apple.

According to Counsel & Heal, Carrie's (Claire Danes) enemies may not be coming from the outside but rather within the organization that she is in. This threat confronts Carrie and will be challenging to her in "Homeland" Season 6.

"Homeland" Season 6 opens months after Carrie has defeated a terrorist attack in Berlin. Now that she returns to the US, she works in a foundation that helps Muslims who are residing in the country. The upcoming season will be more challenging for Carrie as the story moves along.

The series has been well all over the globe since Carrie has been to Germany and Pakistan. Now, Carrie is brought back to the US lands in "Homeland" Season 6. It is likely that in her new destination she is to clash with Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) according to a report in A.V. Club.
