‘Nintendo Switch’ Migration: Capcom Works On More Games For the Console

The upcoming gaming console "Nintendo Switch" has got a hype in the gaming industry considering the portability of the console. It is expected to release in March 2017 and the official announcement about the release date, the price of the console and the available games would be confirmed in January. It is also found to be attracting the game developers quietly into Nintendo Switch platform. Capcom, one of the major game developer has started working to support the upcoming console.

The year-end report of Capcom confirmed that it is researching on other multi-platform games including the ones working on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, to make it available on Nintendo Switch. It further said that the research is facing some difficulties considering the differences of platforms and nature of portable Nintendo Switch, and confirmed that it would be going in a different direction. Capcom did not reveal further development plans.

"We choose the gaming platform for our games according to features of consoles that can ensure maximum enjoyment to our customers," said Capcom while speaking about Nintendo Switch. "It is good to have new launches in the market, which will help us to develop games that can give full potential in the hardware."

Interestingly, Capcom is not the only major game developer, who decided to choose Nintendo Switch. Square Enix, Electronic Arts, Bethesda etc., have decided to make their games ready for Nintendo Switch. Capcom has developed a number of popular game franchises like Mega Man, Ace Attorney, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, and Monster Hunter and most of these games were available for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS consoles.

Since the announcement of Nintendo Switch the gaming console caught attention due to it was easily carried and highly useful in journeys. Unofficial reports suggested that the game would be released on March 12 in North America and March 17 in PAL region.
