“Gilmore Girls” is one of those slow-paced stories, revolving more around the characters, their little town and their little affairs, than on some big, turnabout things like murder, abductions or any other form of action. The passive voice of the series works in a soothing way, which helps the viewer relax and sink into a fantasy of the common day.

The Guardian, shares one, even though politically biased, interesting read on the topic of what does the series mean to its viewers. Writer Abigail Radnor shares how the parallels between her and one of the main characters in the series helped her deal with the difficulties which had arisen in her life as her 21st year of life begun.

The calm and understanding she claims to have found in the series is what turned it into a hit, back in the beginning of the millennia. Why should there be new “Gilmore Girls” episodes? Because even though concluded, the series’ fans never got an actual closure on many of the questions which the series raised. Now, there are a lot of hungry fans, waiting for their answers to come.

Entertainment Weekly shares some of the problems which occurred during the revival of the series. One of them was the rebuilding of Stars Hollow. Since they did not have plans or blueprints of the set, they had to improvise in the best way possible. That was watching old episodes and trying to put the pieces together by sight. Even though hard it had turned successful and they have even managed to make some adjustments to the old set, like making the Gilmore house bigger, since the last one felt like a “dollhouse”.

Bustle breaks the hearts of fans by announcing that Rory (Alexis Bledel ) and Dean (Jared Padalecki) will not end up together in the conclusion of the series. This comes from the fact, that their scene together was finished in less than a day, which brings thoughts of a short cameo and not a long-term presence. Bustle remind fans, that it was Dean who was with Rory in the first days of her adulthood and it is him, who should escort her into the next step in her life.

“Gilmore Girls : A Year in the Life” will launch on 25 November on Netflix.
