Disney has been recreating classic cartoon movies into live-action films like upcoming "Beatuty and the Beast" then the recent announcement of a live-action movie of "Mulan". Well, to all the lovers of Disney’s old classic “Snow White," there are some good news travelling your way.

According to Forbes magazine, Disney is preparing a live-action movie, which will be based on their original 1937 animation, but will expand the world, the story and the songs. What exactly does that mean, no one can be really sure, but if Disney claim they are making some changes to the world, people should be ready for shock and awe. We have already seen their effect on Marvel’s universe and Star Wars franchise, so now comes the turn of their own intellectual property.

Independent shares details on who will take part in the live-action production of “Snow White”. Erin Cressida Wilson is in negotiations for writing the screenplay. She is known for her work on Secretary, Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus, and Chloe. Other participants in this project include Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, whose most notable work has been on La La Land.

The duo will be responsible for writing some original scores, which will go together with the original songs from the “Snow White” animated movie. Problem for the full realization of the project will be the fact, that the movie has already seen multiple on-screen variations like the movie “Mirror”, Mirror” and “Snow White and The Huntsman”.

People magazine take a lighter approach at the situation and have made their own dream cast for the movie. In the role of Snow White herself, they have picked “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale. Chris Pine has been chosen in the role of the prince. Pine has been known for his work on “Star Trek” and “Into The Woods”.

Among the list figures and the name of NBA star Shaquille O’Neal as Happy the dwarf.
People magazine say that it will just be fun to see the tall basketball player digitally shrunk into something as small as Happy the dwarf.
