Even before hitting the roads completely, Porsche is recalling ultra-exclusive 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid supercars. Reportedly, Porsche's most expensive model has defective chassis parts.

The German carmaker is taking the "precautionary measure" because it can't guarantee the parts permanently, the company said in a statement. The fault in chassis was discovered during in-house quality tests. The fix will take about two days to complete.

Porsche has only produced 918 vehicles to highlight the exclusivity of its most expensive $845,000 plug-in hybrid racer. The company sold the last of the supercars in November.

The recall is second for 918 Spyder models this year. According to reports, around 205 of the 918-unit supercar has been recalled.
