RIcky And Morty Update: Season 3 Airs In December; 4 'Shorties' Released
Adult Swim, creator for the successful science fiction animated comedy TV series, collaborated with Lee Hardcastle from Claymation for four animated shorts, entitled "The Non-Canonical Adventures" released on October 26. The four animated short films, which are horror-themed to coincide with the Halloween, are as long as 16 to 18 seconds.
In each of the four animated "shorts," Morty and his family see themselves in unusual situation with horrifying predicaments. In "The Thing" episode, Rick is seen testing petri dishes containing blood samples of Smith family, who may risk contamination. Fans will miss Mr. Poopy Butthole on this show.
Another short, "The Fly," features Rick in Seth's Brundle, and while pulling Morty into the telepod, reveals his humanoid form. In "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids," Rick and Morty's adaptation of the 1989 blockbuster movie, Adult Swim takes you a world, where the two major characters are being playful, but in a different horrific situation. This show is about family, which makes the whole sci-fi animated comedy a delight for fans.
"Ex Machina" centers on a dance scene between Rick and Jessica, Morty's ultimate crush; and on transforming the latter into an artificial woman.
Adult Swim's Rick and Morty Season is reportedly scheduled to air in December with 12 episodes. Reports also claim that the hit animated science fiction comedy TV series will reward its fans with two extra episodes. In season 3, Krombopolus Michael, the Gromflomite assassin is reportedly back in the show. In the previous season, Krombopulos Michael was crushed by Rick's spaceship.
Although no definite date is yet released for season 3, an article from Inverse says that Sarah Carbiener and Erica Rosbe, Rick and Morty's new writers, will make good Adult Swim's promise of showing its next season before 2017. It can be recollected that season 1 premiered on December 2.
