'Split' Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: M. Night Shyamalan's New Film First Trailer Revealed, Everything That We Need To Know!

James McAvoy is the star for the new film by M. Night Shyamalan titled "Split." He plays Kevin who has multiple personalities. The story may seem like a normal kidnapping film at first but as the story moves on, it reveals more.

According to a report in the Malay Mail Online, Kevin has 23 personalities within him. This has been confirmed by his psychiatrist Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley). Aside from these 23 personalities, there is still one other identity that is waiting to be unleashed for Kevin in "Split."

This one personality that is still within Kevin in "Split" is determined to dominate over the other 23 personalities. Kevin tries to survive from all these personalities within especially when he kidnapped two teenage girls.

In a report from UPI, once Kevin starts to change his body depending on the personality that he is in then it starts to get scary for the film "Split." Kevin does this transformation and is really scary for the film.

"Split" is produced by Blum Productions of Jason Blum according to Variety. Aside from James McAvoy there are also other stars included in the film. Anya Taylor Joy, Betty Buckley, Jessica Sula and Haley Lu Richardson are also included to star in the film.

This film is described to be a suspense thriller and is an interesting story. Split also has elements of supernatural. Shyamalan and Blum already worked with 'The Visit' before. They bring back some of the team from the film into "Split."

The film is produced by Marc Bienstock and the executive producers are Ashwin Rajan and Steven Schneider. "Split" trailer is already out and it shows the personalities of Kevin which are of different types and McAvoy is seen to have portrayed each role well.

"Split" is just one of Shyamalan's works and it is set to air on January 20, 2017.
