Fans Have Been Waiting For Miley Cyrus To Speak Out About This - Watch
On a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres last Thursday, pop star Miley Cyrus brutally speaks out about her engagement ring. Cyrus returned to the show after recently hosting it in Ellen's absence.
When DeGeneres asked "The Voice" coach about her shiny engagement ring, Cyrus responded, "It's very weird because this is, like, real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made out of like gummy bears and cotton candy, and they don't look that good together because of they kind of mix up. So sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney Tunes. And he's like, 'What's going on?' And I'm like, 'Well, this isn't my aesthetic, but I'll wear it 'cause you love me.'" DeGeneres quipped back, "He could've saved a lot of money and by giving you like a gummy bear ring."
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus got engaged back in 2012. The couple then broke off the engagement a year later. They had been going on and off for a brief period, only to get back together again after more than two years apart.
It was confirmed earlier this year that the 23-year-old pop star and the "Hunger Games" star was back together again and that their wedding plans had officially resumed.
Ever since being back together, Cyrus has kept her personal life with Hemsworth very private. The couple attended their first public event together since their previous split earlier this month at the Variety Power of Women Luncheon. They posed for pictures together.
Cyrus also frequently posts on her social media such as Instagram and Twitter wearing her engagement ring, signaling fans around the world that the wedding is still on.
Although the ring might not be Cyrus' typical style, it has great sentimental value. A source once told E! News that, "The ring is special because Miley and Liam worked on it together."
"Miley specifically wanted it set in gold. She didn't want platinum. She liked the gold because it was different and unique, like her. She didn't want anything classic or generic," the source added.
