Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton started her 69th birthday on Twitter by posting a message that will send shivers down the spine of her Republican rival Donald Trump. Her social media post features a young Hillary Clinton that is captioned with "Happy Birthday to this future president." For Clinton's supporters, that very bold statement is a show of confidence and a strong signal that she will be victorious in the January 2017 elections.
The night before her big day, the former Senator and First Lady went to a concert by British singer Adele in Miami, Florida. An avid supporter of Clinton, Adele urged the crowd, "Don't vote him." The Brit explained that what happens in the U.S. affects her too. She described Clinton as "amazing."
More Celebrities poured their greetings for the former Secretary of State who is a Hollywood darling. Entertainment Weekly reported that Hillary's husband, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, and daughter Chelsea were the first greeters on Twitter. Actress Elizabeth Banks and pop singer Katy Perry also sent their messages on social media as well as actors Jamie Lee Curtis and George Takei.
As reported by Entertainment Tonight, Music legend Stevie Wonder accorded Clinton a sweet serenade when he surprised the latter during her interview with the radio show The Breakfast Club on Oct. 26. Wonder gave a 1980 rendition of "Happy Birthday." The singer expressed his love and respect for the politician. He was quoted saying "It's time to let a woman do it."
