Google Pixel competes well with other smartphones. Its highly rated camera was favored by lots of people but like any other smartphone it also have a problem.

According to engadget, there are cases that was first reported by Redditors and members of Google's Pixel User Community about the annoying extreme lens flare in photos. This is an issue the company must work out.

Lens flare, according to Android Police is normal, but it is excessive in the Pixel camera. It is visible when camera takes photo with a bright light. Some images shows the flare clearly while some are not that noticeable.

One Pixel owner, in an article in PetaPixel, said that actions like troubleshooting steps, camera app rollbacks and safe mode did not have any effect making it clear that the issue of the lens flare is with the camera. Also some owners tested some other smartphone on same scenes as taken by a Pixel camera and images produced doesn't create the same lens flare.

Multiple photos were posted in Twitter to show the lens flare and the halo or arc image it creates. Even though the problems is possibly from the hardware design, Google is planning, as mentioned in PetaPixel, to solve it using software.

Google, may be able to fix the issue, according to Android Police, the developers are currently working on algorithms which can mathematically identify the effects and then afterward subtract it from the photos. A software update will be done to HDR+ mode and that would solve the issue in the next couple of weeks.

There will be no need for Pixel owners to replace their device because the said software update solution will soon to be released. For the mean time users can turn the feature off or probably not if you are not into an ordinary image.
