Facebook: We are a Tech Company

Despite controlling the world's media, Mark Zuckerburg the chief executive and the co-founder of social networking site, said that Facebook is not and will never be a media company.

Many users are turning to social media such as Twitter and Facebook to find fresh news, But Zuckerberg said that he had no ambitions to become a content news provider.

When in Rome, university students in Italy asked in a conference with Mark Zuckerberg if the company planned to become a news organization. Zuckerberg said his firm.

 "We are a tech company, not a media company," Zuckerberg stated.

He also stated that they are a technology company, which build tools but they do not produce the content. Meaning that the company do and build the tools but the people who will use the site will be the one responsible for the content.

Facebook's product chief Chis Cox said at the conference in Laguna Calif that they define themselves as a technology company. There is a big difference between the two. He said that a media company is about the stories it tells, while a technology company is about building tools.

What Cox said exactly echoed the statement of Mark Zuckerberg.

Despite the issue, it looks like the company is determined to improve facebook . And also help the people connect with each other, in parts of the world.

Zuckerberg and his wife get to met the 266th and current Pope of Roman Catholic. He gave him the model of Aquila.

Facebook's Aquila drone is a solar-powered plane designed to fly 60,000 to 90,000 feet in the air that will provide remote areas of the world with Internet connection.

Facebook also did some changes and add some features to make it more convenient for the users. Including controlling what you see in your news feed, you can look back through your FB history and the messenger also goes independent.
