Missing Rihanna Backup Dancer Shirlene Quigley Found
Shirlene Quigley, the backup dancer of Rihanna, was found safe and is now in an undisclosed hospital receiving medical treatment, New Jersey police confirms. Quigley was in the news this weekend after being reported missing. The dancer also performed alongside Missy Elliot, Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, and several others.
The backup dancer went missing last Sunday at 1 a.m. To make the matter worse, she disappeared under bizarre circumstances. The dancer was last seen boarding a bus at New York's Port Authority terminal. Her whereabouts after was unknown. People close to Quigley became more suspicious when she missed her nightly call to her father who is based in Los Angeles. Later on, her phone was found at the bridal store in NYC. Her car was also found abandoned at Hertz car rental agency on West 55th Street. Adding to the mystery is the dancer posting this cryptic message to a friend: "Get ready, it's about to happen, and I'm going to need you to sub for me,"
Rihanna posted a plea on her Instagram to help her find the dancer saying "This beautiful soul and former dancer of mine is MISSING!!! My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her!"
Aside from being a backup dancer, Quigley also teaches dance at Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan and at the Peridance Capezio Center. She lives along in North Bergen, New Jersey.
On the latest update about this case, Quigley was finally found safe. The North Bergen Police posted their statements on Twitter and Instagram saying that the dancer was finally located with the help of the New York police. The authority, however, did not disclose her location and the true circumstances behind her missing. Her father is reportedly flying to New Jersey to meet his daughter.
