Marvel's ‘Logan’ Spoilers, Trailer; The World Without Wolverine
X-Men fans all around the globe are dreading the day that Wolverine bids goodbye. The newest trailer of 'Logan' shows a much older Wolverine and Professor Charles Xavier battling Alzheimer's.
The sad reality of 'Logan' is that almost all of the mutants are gone. Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, is getting old and is clearly not the same younger Logan. He is shown to have numerous scars on his back, a clear indication that he can't heal himself as he used to. Even his hair isn't the same before.
If there is one thing left for Logan is for him to save his clone. Essex Corp, was able to get Wolverine's DNA in "X-Men: Apocalypse" and now we can see what they did to Logan's DNA - to create a clone with Wolverines powers in a little girl.
The story revolves around this girl who is very much like Wolverine. Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), even if he is fighting bouts of Alzheimer's is bent on helping Logan find the girl before Nathaniel Essex and his group of sinister henchmen get to her.
X-23 or Laura Kinney, played by Dafne Keen, is going to follow Wolverine's footsteps.
Professor Xavier will be taken care of by Caliban, played by Stephen Merchant. Caliban in the past has been wavering between good and evil but in Logan, Caliban's role in this movie installment is to be with Professor X.
The girl's existence is Marvel's attempt to continue the Wolverine franchise as Hugh Jackman bids the role goodbye. He has said that it is time for him to retire his claws as he has been playing the role of Logan for 17 years.
The main villains for Logan is Nathaniel Essex or Mister Sinister. Sinister was born in England and because of some mutations he has become immortal. He is super fast and strong and can be a shapeshifter as well. He is a genius with powers of telepathy. All these powers combined will give Logan and his clone a hard time defeating them.
Logan will be shown March 3, 2017.
