Selena Gomez Heads Back To Rehab Again
Selena Gomez has checked into rehab for the second time. Gomez, 24, has been recovering at a Tennessee treatment facility since announcing on August 30 that she was taking a break to manage "anxiety, panic attacks and depression."
A source close to Gomez described to E!Online that the rehab facility which is located right outside of Nashville, as "private and quiet place. Sources insist this break it solely to focus on her "mental health," while Gomez is still finding a way to manage her lupus.
According to Radar Online, the rehab center Gomez entered is not known for helping celebrities. She also does not have any ties to the facility, which is one reason why she picked the facility.
Selena Gomez will take part in therapy sessions and is allowed to leave the grounds at specified times, though not without some restrictions.
Gomez who confirmed her lupus diagnosis last year underwent chemotherapy treatment to combat the disease in 2013 after taking a break from her "Stars Dance" tour. Gomez checked into rehab the first time back in 2014, cancelling 34 performance dates on her "Revival World Tour," shortly after being diagnosed with lupus. "I got diagnosed with lupus. My mom had a very public miscarriage. So I had to cancel my tour. I needed time to just be OK," she told GQ earlier this year.
Us Magazine reported that Gomez also stopped working on new music. It is still unclear when the singer, who released her second solo album "Revival" last fall, will return to the music scene. A music industry source explained that she was supposed to be recording and has not told anyone when she will be back in the studio.
Despite the intense program, Gomez has still managed to find time to spend with her family. While focusing on her recovery, Gomez has been spending time with family. She stopped at Alcoa, Tennessee's Texas Roadhouse for dinner with her mom and stepfather, Brian Teefey, October 8. Gomez posed for pictures with fans and signed a few autographs.
