'Vampire Diaries' Season 8 Updates: Tyler Back To Mystic Falls? Bonnie Comes Back This Season?

Hit series "The Vampire Diaries" is soon to deliver a new and final Season 8. The show will premeire Season 8 on October 21, 2016. What new can be expected in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 and what old themes will be returned or concluded?

There's a lot of news and rumors circling around, where TV Guide has manage to collate and share a lot of the proven rumors. Old events are coming back into Mystic Falls, paying homage to their own series, creators Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson are returning some beloved occurrences. Some among them are the Mystic Falls carnival, Founder's Day and Miss Mystic Falls.

Some old faces will be coming back too, where the return of Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) and also an expected return from the series' star Nina Dobrev who plays Elena Gilbert in the series.

In "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 a new villain will be introduced. The villain is described to have the power of seeing the evil inside a person. Through the villain's powers, Damon and Enzo will be subdued and controlled against their will. Through this unfavorable situation, the characters, viewers and writers themselves will be able to explore the themes of good, evil and where exactly does the line between the two of them lie.

After they break out of the villain's control, the viewers will be submerged into a story of redemption, since both characters have only turned darker with the passing of the series, this will be a perfect chance to view their actions throughout another's eyes and make amends with themselves and the world they live in.

A most unexpected connection between old and new will be done through the introduction of a new character named Peter Maxwell (Joel Gretsch).

Vampirediaries Wikia has shared a thorough description of this new character, who is expected to appear in "The Vampire Diaries" episode 4 and "The Vampire Diaries" episode 8.
He is described as a middle-aged, who has the appearance of a blue-collar worker.

One of the most popular assumptions fans have made about this new character is that he will be
the father of Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) who has left the household a long time ago and will now re-appear to bring conclusion onto the family storyline.

Over the years "The Vampire Diaries" has shared a lot of emotions with its viewers, surprises and its distinct feature of showing the human side of all villains. Season 8 being last in the series, will not betray the viewers' expectations as it is expected to hold up to the standard which the previous series have established.
