Google Pixel vs LG Nexus 5X: Specs, Features Compared

With the birth of Google Pixel, the Google Nexus phones needed to say goodbye. But for sure many are also wondering if how the LG Nexus 5X stands compared to the new Google Pixel phones. We will look into that today.

The LG Nexus 5X is a basic device that is made of polycarbonate. It has an FHD display, mid-range processor, less RAM, less memory, and an okay camera area.

As for the Google Pixel, it is made with polished glass and metal. It also has an AMOLED FHD display. It has a more advances processor, larger RAM, larger memory, and a great camera.

When it comes to design, Nexus 5X and the Pixel very close in size since the Nexus 5X is 5.2-inches and the Google Pixel is at 5.0-inches. Both phones use Qualcomm Snapdragon processor but the Nexus 5X packs only 2GB of RAM while the Pixel phone is packed with 4GB RAM.

In terms of storage, the Nexus phone has 16GB/32GB of non-expandable memory while Pixel has the choice of 32GB/128GB of non-expandable memory. Their cameras are almost identical but that of the Pixel phone is rated with an 89 by the DxOMark which is the highest rating given to a mobile camera.

Both units sport a fingerprint sensor for unlocking the device. They also support WiFi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, NFC, and a Type-C reversible port for charging or data transfer.

Their batteries are both 2,770 mAH. The LG Nexus which runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow is lighter at 136 grams whereas the Pixel phone's operating system is Android 7.0 Nougat and it weighs 143 grams.

Apparently, the Google Pixel phone is more advanced and it is priced at $649 while the LG Nexus 5 costs $379. Those who wants to pre-order the Google Pixel handset, it is already available on Flipkart. It will be available in shops on Oct. 20.
