Battlefield 1's Early Access Is Just That On Xbox and PC
At a hefty 40 Gigabytes of data, players can download the Battlefield 1 early access release. This will be available for console players using EA Access, and Origin Access for the PC. The catch, though, is that not only are there only two missions in solo, as well as a modest our modes to the few five maps in multiplayer, there's a 10-hour time limit on the preview.
For those that haven't seen it yet, there's a trailer for solo-play online. Watch it now to get a glimpse of the game and what it offers.
However, for those fans who've already pre-ordered the game with the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition, the whole game will be unlocked come October 18. Still, there's incentive enough in choosing not to wait and lavishing 10 hours of gameplay because that will net you a Battlepack come full access. If you're a member to the aforementioned Access sites, that is.
To be a member to said sites, it'll cost $4.99 a month on both EA and Origin Access. For Xbox One users, though, there's a $3-yearly subscription for EA Access. Inquisitr adds that membership comes with a selection of around fifteen games for free, as well as a 10% discount on EA titles and DLC that are within the system.
Notable titles to look out for if you decide to be a member is Dragon Age: Inquisition, Battlefield Hardline, Battlefield 4, EA Sports UFC and even Plants vs. Zombies.
On a downer note, Playstation 4 users won't be able to avail of these services because Sony nixed the idea for such a partnership with EA early on.
Finally, vanilla players will have to wait for the regular October 21 release if they want to play the game in full.
