The Season Finale of Hitman Announced, Hokkaido Japan As Setting
At the culmination of several episodes, the sixth, season finale, of Hitman is slated for October 31. Looking back, the game has taken players around the world. There was Paris back in March. After that, in April, there was Sapienza, a coastal town in Italy. May was for Marrakesh in Morocco. This was followed by Bangkok in August, then a more familiar Colorado in August. As for a little icing on top for those who've availed of the season pass, there was bonus episode that rehashed Sapienza and Marrakesh in creative ways back in July.
Now, though, the setting is in Japan. From their home website, the description given by IO Interactive was as follows, "The Hokkaido location is set within the grounds of the hyper-exclusive GAMA private hospital and resort. This secluded facility is a fusion of Japanese beauty and cutting-edge technology, featuring its own Zen gardens, organic sushi restaurant and traditional Japanese hot spring."
The trailer itself shows that the setting was captured beautifully. Regardless of the aesthetic, though, the objectives remain the same.
This time around, the mission is called "Situs Inversus," and there will be two targets to assassinate, although their identities have yet to be divulged. Players will simply have to find out come the release later this month.
As for trivia, in the medical world, the title is known as a medical condition wherein the organs are found transposed in the opposite side of the body. Ergo, where the heart is in the left for most, it's the opposite for those who've been born with the condition.
For those that haven't bought any of the games yet, Polygon reports that Square Enix plans to release the full set of episodes in Hitman: The Complete First Season that will be out on January, 2017.
