There are speculations that Kevin Space, playing Frank Underwood in the show, might die. Rumor indicates that his wife Claire (Robin Wright) might be the one to do the deed in order to take his presidential seat. Though the general consensus appears to be that he will die at the hands of someone he cares about and trusts. That aside Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) is also a likely candidate in "House of Cards" Season 5.

According to some reports, Mahershala Ali recently revealed that he won't return to the "House of Cards" series for the fifth Season in 2017 while he was promoting his most recent Netflix series "Luke Cage." The actor, who played as Remy Danton for over the four seasons on the show, was considered by many to be an iconic part of the show. In the fourth season, Remy quit politics, having grown tired of it altogether.

Upon being interviewed by the Independent, Mahershala told reporters that the show had opened the doors for him and for this he was grateful. Though now that he was no longer a part of the show, having done his last season and fulfilled his contract, he could make use of the opportunities he had been given.

Some of the current works he is starring in include a role in Future Relic, Moonlight and the latest film of Matthew McConaughy, "Free State of Jones." Ali also explained his thoughts on how character racial diversity in films was changing since his early days, candidly pointing out that he had not grown up watching people of his color on TV and if he does, it's always the person being just a support to the main character, but rarely as a main character.

He considered this frustrating as in various ways it felt, "like you don't exist." He then went on to appreciate how this is now changing, slowly by slowly, in new movies and series being made. "House Of Cards" Season 5 is set to hit the tv screen in 2017.
