Samsung Teases Its Next Big Launch, Galaxy C9

Even as Samsung seeks to handle the fallout of its disastrous Galaxy Note 7 launch, GSMArena has reported that Samsung is hinting at its next release via a teaser image on its Weibo account .  

The company released an image of the new phone, the Galaxy C9 an all-black metal device with an accompanying message that said "the next big thing is coming." The phone has curved edges giving a sleek look and offering better grip.  It also has antennas running horizontally across the phone camera on top.  

The phone recently received FCC's clearance in the United States, which indicates that the phone will be launched in the U.S market. A PhoneArena report states that the phone might be released in U.S. in mid-November after its inaugural launch in China in October. There is no information available currently if the phone will be launched in Europe.

The C9 is expected to have top-notch specs with a super large screen, joining Samsung's set of premium -end phone range. It is said to have a large 6-inch 1080p touchscreen which is what the company possibly meant by "next big thing", and it will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The phone boasts of significant horsepower with 6GB of RAM powered by a Snapdragon 652 chipset. A strong 4,000 mAh battery will give it the necessary life.

Other key features are built-in storage of 64GB, a main camera of 16 MP camera and a powerful front camera with 16 MP .

These specs are yet to be confirmed by Samsung so we will have to wait until the official launch to see the final phone configuration.

The phone also known by its model number SM-C9000 has been coming up in benchmarking sites such as GeekBench and Antutu which gave us a hint of its specs but only thing missing was its battery power. This was revealed thanks to FCC's certification papers which mentioned the battery capacity.
