Fans of the popular vampire series will just have to wait ten days before its premiere. The latest spoilers of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 reveal heartbreaking and frightening plot directions.
TV Line gave away a recent development on Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena Gilbert's (Nina Dobrev) romantic relationship. Actor Somerhalder told the website that the two characters might not get a happy ending by the end of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.
The star cited how bad the situation is for people to still wish the two to end up together and noted three things. First, Elena seemed to be in a bad shape after losing everything she needs and everyone who is dear to her. Second, Damon is a whole lot older than Elena (with a gap of 162 years). And Lastly, Damon is one of the people who has caused a lot of pain to Elena.
The Extended Teaser for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has already been released. E! News highlights how both Enzo and Damon are trying to deal with the creature. Enzo questioned Damon's goals: to continually hurt, torture and kill people and started to ask him when he would end the notorious act. Damon is also heard in the promo video saying, "this is it. This is the beginning of the end." With Damon still in his bad state, the question pertains: will he be able to go back by the end of the season?
"The Vampire Diaries" has received praises since its first season and has maintained over 2 million followers throughout the course of their existence on air. However, The CW has already announced that the series will meet its end after "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, the reported final installment. The last season is set to air on October 21, Friday, at 8 PM on The CW.
