Forget about screening mom's phone calls now with new app 'Ignore No More'
If you're a parent of a teenager who oftentimes does not pick up the phone when you're trying to rich them, you know how frustrating that is. A Houston mom decided to do something about it.
Sharon Standifird, a mother of two from Houston, Texas, grew tired of her children's call filtering and she decided to do something about it. "It went from a frustration to a worry," Standifird said.
Once she knew they were safe, but ignoring her calls, she got an idea.
"We need to develop an app that just shuts their phone completely down and they can't even use it," she said. "I got on the internet and I literally just started researching how to develop an app."
She consulted software developers to come up with an Android app call Ignore No More.
If a call is ignored, a parent can use the app to lock their child's phone. It can only be unlocked if the child retrieves a passcode from their parent. Whether they want to or not, they have to contact their parents.

"And I started, literally just started researching how to develop an app."
The app's website says: "When you lock your child's phone with Ignore No More your child has only two options - he or she can call you back, or call for an emergency responder."
