What awaits the heroes in the long anticipated "Supergirl" season 2? Creator Andrew Kreisberg revealed that in the coming "Supergirl" Season 2, the viewers will see the rise of the "Cadmus" project, which will play the role of the villain, as a second big enemy will be revealed later on in season 2 of "Supergirl".

According to International Business Time, "Cadmus" project was revealed to be an organization established with the sole purpose of annihilating all alien life on Earth, this includes not only the villains viewers have seen in "Supergirl" season 1, but also Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Superman.

Another big reveal was the appearance of the man of steel himself who will be portrayed by Teen Wolf's Tyler Hoechlin, he will appear in the first two episodes of "Supergirl" Season 2, where he will fight together with Kara against the calamities falling on National City. Will the two of them with Melissa Benoist have great chemistry achieving a level of performance worthy of the first season's success, the audience will learn as the new episodes roll on the small screen.

Tvline shares that one of the biggest surprises the creators have revealed, it is the appearance of Lena Luthor, played by Katie McGrath. She is Lex Luthor's sister, who has decided to move to National City, escaping her brother's dark shadow.

As the new CEO of the billion dollar company - Lex Industires, she has decided to take the company into a new direction, rebranding it as a benevolent force, which will work in benefaction of the city, unlike her brother's villainous ways.

The biggest question coming from this reveal is whether her intentions are sincere and most of all will Kara, Superman's cousin, a sworn enemy of Luthor, manage to find the strength of character to trust Lena and the new direction which the company is heading to?

As viewers tune in to "CW" and watch the newest adventures of Kara in "Supergirl" Season 2, they will learn, live and feel with these characters.
