Rick and Morty Season 3 was almost certain to happen. A preview of the upcoming season showed a bloody rat massacre.

Rick and Morty Season 3 Release Date

Rick and Morty Season 2 still have three episodes left when it was announced that season 3 is underway. Its growing popularity has certainly convinced the show's creators that they need to keep Rick and Morty going. The adult cartoon show's co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland said that they are considering the idea of Rick and Morty's next escapade is in Hawaii, according to Den of Geek.

Initially, Rick and Morty season 3 is expected to be launch on March 2017. However, Harmon announced at the Magic City Comic Con that the upcoming season may come out as early as December this year. Fans are no doubt hoping that they could watch it sooner rather than later.

Rick and Morty Season 3 Bloody Preview

The Rick and Morty Season 3 video preview was shown during San Diego Comic-Con. It's bloody and showed a lot of rats getting cut and sliced into pieces. Roiland also teased some possible return of fan favorite characters and episode.

Rick and Morty Season 3 - What Fans Can Expect

Harmon told in an interview that they are adding new writers possibly female ones. The co-creator assured however, that the "show's integrity" was never undermined by the new writers. The upcoming Rick and Morty season 3 will also have 14 episodes which is more than the previous two seasons.

Vin Diesel will reportedly have a part in the third season of Rick and Morty. He will be the voice of D&D. Season 2 showed Beth and Jerry confronted by problem that could their marriage apart. Meanwhile, Jerry is considering a position with the Galactic Penitentiary. There are also reports that Rick's wife may reappear in the upcoming season.
