Barry Allen Faces "Flashpoint" Aftermath in New 'Paradox' Trailers for 'The Flash' Season 3

Barry Allen may have escaped the throes of the "Flashpoint" timeline he created, but the ramifications of his flirting with time are just beginning to take shape, as the latest trailers for the second episode of "The Flash" season 3 highlights the consequences of the Scarlet Speedster's actions.

The official synopsis for the episode (titled "Paradox") reads:

THE AFTERMATH - Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian's immediate disdain for Barry.

As implied by the trailers below, it would seem that the consequences of Flashpoint are worse than our hero expected. A new villain is now in the loose, Caitlin Snow is manifesting powers, and Harrison Wells' personality had changed.

In addition, Earth-3's iteration of Jay Garrick (played by John Wesley Shipp) will be returning next week, as he goads the Scarlet Speedster to fix the timeline and reset everything to the way it was, before Flashpoint's ramifications become permanent.

Future episodes of the third season, on the other hand, will be featuring new villains not yet seen in the past two seasons. It was reported that Mirror Master, Top, and Magenta will be headlining the coming episodes as villains of the week.

"The Flash" Season 3 airs every Tuesday on The CW.
