'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13 Episode 3 Spoilers & Updates: Will Meredith & Maggie Hate Each Other?

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Episode 3 is set to air on October 6 on ABC. Tensions get high between Maggie and Meredith as they both deal with an awkward love triangle over Nathan.

In "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Episode 2, Maggie Pierce (Kelly McReary) finally accepted that she is indeed growing a crush on Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson). She gathered enough courage to ask Nathan out during the party. However, Meredith advised Nathan to turn her down in a nice way, which Nathan took as a sign that Meredith might actually be falling in love with him. Nathan did as Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) advised; he turned down Maggie's invitation telling her he wasn't ready yet. Maggie assumes that this answer wasn't an exact rejection, giving her high hopes for the future.

According to Christian Post, Maggie and Meredith will be encountering a problem in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Episode 3 and Amelia will help both of them get through the problem. Does this problem have something to do with Nathan?

International Business Times reports that Meredith and Maggie might still have tensions in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Episode 3. This is also expected to stay high as Kelly McReary confirmed during an interview, that Maggie is going to be really hurt when she finds out about Meredith and Nathan's secret relationship. She also tipped that fans should expect this reactions and behaviour from her since this was very evident in her character when she found out that Richard (James Pickens Jr.) is her real father.

"In her first season, she really holds it against Richard that he didn't tell her [he was her father] right away, that he withheld the truth for any length of time. To me, that's an indication of how we can expect Maggie to feel about any lack of honesty, any lack of full transparency and disclosure in a relationship - especially with somebody that she trusts and, more than trusts, really relies upon as much as Meredith," McReary said in the same report.

Christian Times also confirmed this tension between Maggie and Meredith, as it labelled the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Episode 3 as "the most awkward love triangle ever." This episode's promo video showed that Nathan was really trying his best to avoid both ladies; making sure that he won't be in the same room with them. In the same video, Maggie strongly told Meredith that it wasn't okay when she asked her during a car ride with Alex. Although her strong response what unclear whether it was because of Nathan rejecting her invitation or if it's about Alex being on the same car with them. Meredith has once promised Maggie that she would always tell her the truth, now Nathan is asking Meredith to do the same in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Episode 3.
