IMAX announced on their official website that starting October 13,2016 it will start the showing of all eight "Harry Potter" films and at the same time, offering an exclusive sneak peek of the movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

Why Are They Being Shown?

In case you are wondering why "Harry Potter" films are being shown back-to-back with the movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", it is because both are written J.K. Rowling. It is a way to support the author with her latest book adapted into film.

Aside from that, this is also the first time for some "Harry Potter" films to be shown in IMAX. These films are the "Sorcerer's Stone" and "The Chamber of Secrets."

Oregon Live reported that the films are going to be shown in order, but fans need to go back to the theater several times to be able to watch them all. There are several ticket packages available to fit everyone's budget.

Fantastic Beast and Where To Find Them

The latest wizardry movie aims to take us back where it all began. The movie is set at least 70 years before the Harry Potter era. The setting of the film is also quite different from "Harry Potter" film - New York City. According to IMDB, Newt Scamander is a writer who is exploring the secret community of magical beings in New York City.

The trailer of the film showed us the main character of the film, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) accidentally let out some of the most strange, unique and beautiful creatures in the world. This movie aims to offer something different from the "Harry Potter" franchise - different storyline, more glamorous costume designs, and somehow, a bit darker than "Harry Potter." The movie is set to be released in November 2016.
