New rumors have surfaced for the upcoming Marvel Studios film "Thor: Ragnarok," and while most of the fans are expecting that the movie will follow the reins of the comic book event of the same name, a latest insider reports says otherwise.

According to the fan website Schmoes Know, the film will be deviating away from the original "Ragnarok" storyline, which saw the demise of Thor and the destruction of Asgard. In addition, it was touted that a huge bulk of the film will take place in a prison-like planet, where both Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) and Bruce Banner / Hulk (played by Mark Ruffalo) will be imprisoned.

Furthermore, the website purports that "Ragnarok" will be utilizing a "Gladiator meets Mad Max" aesthetic, as the two, aforementioned heroes will be fighting their way through various combatants and alien creatures to survive and make their way to freedom. It was also reported that a new ally named Skurge (played by Karl Urban) will be aiding them in their fight against the planet's ruler, the Grandmaster (played by Jeff Goldblum).

Interestingly, the film's director Taika Waititi also posted a new Instagram photo that seemingly teases the inclusion of Korg to the movie. In the comic books, Korg is a staunch ally of the Hulk, who aided him during the events of "Planet Hulk."

"Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to premiere om November 3, 2017.
