NBA Trade Rumors: Rudy Gay To Join The Miami Heat Soon; The Heat Still Working On The Trade Assets To Send

Rudy Gay has reportedly expressed his interest in joining the Miami Heat. A report also shows that Rudy Gay is now on the NBA trade block as he confirmed that he will not be coming back to Sacramento Kings next season.

In a report by the Sports Blaze, Rudy Gay is eyeing the Miami Heat as the team had a very much appeal to him. Fortunately, Miami Heat is a good choice for Rudy Gay to land as the Heat also needs another scoring option which Gay possesses.

As the Sacramento Kings continue to have an issue between players and the management, this leads to a result that Rudy Gay wants out of the Kings. It's no secret that DeMarcus Cousins is also wanting to leave the Sacramento Kings after his contract expires.

As per Bleacher Reports says, unfortunately, Rudy Gay could not move to the Miami Heat due to the fact that the Heat doesn't have enough tradable assets to send to the Kings since the players who signed within last month could not be dealt until December 15th.

Another issue may occur is the salary cap. Rudy Gay is being paid $13 million this year with a player option that can boom to more than $14 million in 2017-2018 NBA Season. A salary cap would likely to become a problem of the Miami Heat.

The CBS Sports breaks down the scenario, saying that the salary cap could not be an issue due to the fact that there is the Collective Bargaining Agreement or known as the CBA. Another proof as well is the extensive increase of the salary cap every year. Assets are the only thing that could be a possible hindrance for Rudy Gay to move to the Miami Heat.

If Rudy Gay would be acquired by the Heat, he would be a very good help, especially the need in scoring option for the Heat. Dwayne Wade already signed with his hometown Chicago, followed by the potential career-ending injury of Chris Bosh, the Heat's offense currently relies on Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside.

Both Miami Heat and the Sacramento Kings are now eager to upgrade their roster, but the fate is on their side. Both teams are now on the verge of tanking season and needs to act quickly as possible for them to at least reach the NBA Playoffs Quarter Finals.
