Game of Thrones Season 5: Sneak Peak Revealed in HBO's Year-Ender Video

Fans have been provided with a short preview of the most anticipated fifth season of the hit fantasy TV series "Games of Thrones" in the 2014 yearender video of HBO.

HBO rounds up the best of 2014 and shows tidbits of what's to come in the new year in the video. A precious few scenes are devoted to the new season of the most violent, bloody and incest-filled game of royal musical chairs, writes People.

Starting at the 1:38 mark, fans are treated with a glimpse of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) with Olly (Brenock O'Connor) standing behind him at the Wall, while Cersei Lannister (Lena Heady) storms around looking unimpressed and flanked by her royal guards.

Tyrion appears to be in disguise in a hooded cloak and unshaven look, while a distressed-looking Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) makes her arrival in Braavos.

Williams dropped a spoiler earlier this month when she hinted that season five will see huge changes for her character, The Independent reported. Arya is still very much alive in the books so no one is quite sure what these changes will involve.

Season 5 of "Games of Thrones" will air in the spring of 2015.

The 'Coming in 2015' segment of HBO's video also includes previews from the network's programming highlights for the new year including a second installment of "True Detective" and the reimagining of "Westworld," reported Variety. It also includes first looks at the next season of "Girls," as well as Hugh Laurie's upcoming appearance on "Veep."
