'Kindred Spirits' Air Date, News Update: To Feature Spooky and Emotional Scenes on October
New series "Kindred Spirits" is set to give viewers the spooky feeling just in time for Halloween with ghost hunters Amy Bruni and Adam Berry.
"Kindred Spirits" will follow the renowned ghost hunters as they help real families who are experiencing paranormal activities in their homes. The two will investigate the occurrences while helping humans to learn how to live with the restless spirits without disturbing them.
Featured in the show is a real family who believes that their deceased loved ones are causing frightening paranormal activity in their house. The primary goal of the former Ghost Hunters stars is not to drive away the spirits but to create a peaceful connection between the living souls and those who are dead.
There had been positive reviews about the show already including one from Week in Weird writer Greg Newkirk who said that it is “fantastic.” Many are impressed with the investigative skills of the pair when it comes to paranormal activity.
They will be using ghost hunting equipments and will also look into the history of every family. This way, Amy and Adam will be able to find out who the ghosts are and what they want. They will also help the families to pass messages to their loved ones.
One aim of the show is to offer “solutions to paranormal activity that relies on sensitivity rather than bravado.” Since it will deal with real life scenarios, it could be heart-wrenching and even emotional, Inquisitr reported.
“We really wanted to do something on homes and families, and people who truly needed help,” Amy said in an interview with Bay Magazine. “That’s what people ask us about all the time. So many of our fans have gone through things that have been traumatic and scary for them. They would reach out and I’d want to help them.”
TLC revealed that the premiere episode of "Kindred Spirits" is filmed in Little Meadows, Pennsylvania. A sneak peak video of the new series features a story about a three years old girl who died after she walked into a spinning blade in a sawmill.
But aside from being spooky, the series is also emotional, that is why viewers are encouraged to get their tissues while watching the show.
"Kindred Spirits" will premiere on October 21 on TLC.
