Michael Brown Shooting: National Guard to be deployed after more unrest in Ferguson, MO
The most violent clashes yet between protesters and police since the death of Michael Brown occurred the night of Aug. 17, causing Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon to announce that he will deploy the National Guard to enforce a curfew that took effect Sat. Aug. 16.
The New York Times reports that the police in Ferguson say their command center located in a shopping center parking lot came under attack from a group of protesters who threw Molotov cocktails at the police.
The police say they then had no choice but to shoot tear gas and rubber bullets to try and regain control of the situation.
