'The Flash' Season 3 Spoilers, News, Updates: Jay Garrick Returns, 'New Reality' Promo Released
DC Comics superheroes television show "The Flash Season 3" is set to return in The CW teasing some scenes through a new promo titled "New Reality."
To recall, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) lost his father to Zoom and traveled back to save his mother from Reverse-Flash, which kicks off Flashpoint. It was also recently confirmed that this storyline will be part of season 3 with its premiere title "Flashpoint."
With that, Flashpoint will be dominating the opening episodes of The Flash Season 3 but this wouldn't last for the entire season. Episode 2 is titled "Paradox" which could be a reference to the animated film Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox that is also based on Flashpoint. But other reports says that the paradox here is referring to something else.
A full gallery of images from The Flash season 3 episode 2 was released featuring the return of Earth-3’s Jay Garrick played by John Wesley Shipp. To recall, he was last seen bringing Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and his daughter Jesse (Violett Beane) back to Earth. Tom Felton’s character, Julian Albert was also seen in the said images.
Synopsis for the "Paradox" which will air Oct. 11 says:
"THE AFTERMATH — Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian’s immediate disdain for Barry. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing (#302).
According to spoilers, when Barry wakes up in Flashpoint, he will be aware of his original timeline but his powers as The Flash will disappear. Because of this, Barry will try to fix his timeline to fix things and to enable him to go back to his life as The Flash.
Fans of the series have a lot to anticipate in "The Flash" Season 3 especially with the return of Jay Garrick. More characters both old and new will also be featured in the series.
"The Flash" Season 3 will premiere Oct. 4 at 8pm on The CW.
