NBA Trade Rumors: Paul Millsap to Cavs, Kevin Love to Thunder?
NBA trade rumors will never stop milling around the internet for Paul Millsap of the Atlanta Hawks and Kevin Love of Cleveland Cavaliers to the Oklahoma City Thunder. A major deal is allegedly going to happen between the Cavaliers, Thunder and the Hawks.
According to reports, Millsap will head over to the Cavaliers while will move to the Thunder. Said trade also involves Kyle Singler to the Cavs and Ersan Ilysova and Domantas Sabonis to the Hawks, Christian Post reported.
Rumors reveal that Love is being traded because the team thinks that he is not perfect for them and his presence might be crucial for the 2016 NBA Finals. With that, Millsap might be a better fit since he is more athletic and defensive-minded. Millsap could be an all around forward by defending multiple positions and creating his own shots.
For the Thunders, they needed someone to replace their best player Kevin Durant who left the team in July to join Golden State Warriors. If they get Love, they will be able to get a better chance in the upcoming finals. But it is also reported that Thunders might just get an additional member without giving up anyone at all.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks are still currently in transition after they signed free agent center Dwight Howard and trading away point guard Jeff Teague. They will also enter the regular season without main star Al Horford who already joined the Boston Celtics. While remaking their roster, they Inquisitr revealed that they are considering to offer Paul Millsap.
Hence, if Hawks will get Sabonis from Thunder, they will have a big man that they would need for the future. They will also have a chance to pick their next prospect through a future first-rounder. With Ilysova around, they would have a young veteran who could fit well spacing the floor for the team.
