Marion Cotillard Denies Involvement In Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Divorce, Confirms Pregnancy
"Allied" star Marion Cotillard has denied her involvement in the nasty Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt divorce drama. The 40-year-old actress took to Instagram to debunk allegations that she is the reason behind the power couple's split.
"This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into," she wrote. "I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up."
Along with the post, the actress attached a photo of a single bird flying over twinkling stars. She revealed that she has already met the man of her life, who is the "father of our son and of the baby we are expecting." Cotillard deemed him as her love, her best friend and the only one that she needs.
Afterwards, she took a jab at the people, especially "the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment," and sincerely wished for their fast recovery. Lastly, she stated her respects and wished for peace for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at this time of their lives. For emphasis, she also translated the text to French.
US Weekly reported that the actress and French actor/director Guillaume Canet have been together since 2007. They have a 5-year-old son named Marcel.
Vanity Fair added that Cotillard and Canet met in the 90s. They also appeared together in the 2003 film "Love Me If You Dare."
According to Page Six, Angelina Jolie filed for her divorce from Brad Pitt after she found out that he was cheating on her with his co-star. Apparently, the "Maleficent" star hired a private investigator to spy on the actor on set.
Speculations pointed to Marion Cotillard as the other woman. The source added that Pitt also partied like a single guy while cheating on his wife.
