'Fifty Shades Darker' Lead Jamie Dornan in Talks For 'Robin Hood: Origins'
A recent report by online news outfit Variety has affirmed that "Fifty Shades of Grey" star Jamie Dornan is now in talks to join the cast of the upcoming medieval adventure film "Robin Hood: Origins."
Directed by "Peaky Blinders" helmer Otto Bathurst and written by Joby Harold, "Robin Hood: Origins" tells the story of an alternate version of Robin Hood, who returns home from the crusades only to find his beloved Sherwood Forest stained by shades of corruption and greed. Galvanized by these events, Robin will use his archery skills and become the hero Sherwood Forest needs.
"Kingsman: The Secret Service" lead Taron Egerton will be playing the titular hero, alongside Eve Hewson as Maid Marian, and Jamie Foxx as Little John. According to the report, Jamie Dornan will be playing Will Scarlet, should the negotiations progress positively.
It is worthy of note that Dornan became a part of multiple projects this year. Aside from the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel "Fifty Shades Darker," Dorian appeared in the World War II thriller "Anthropoid, as well as the horror film "The 9th Life of Louis Drax." As of writing, he has already completed filming all of his scenes for the BBC drama "The Fall."
There are no release dates provided yet for "Robin Hood: Origins."
