The first season of Netflix Original "Narcos" comprised 15 years of Pablo Escobar's life, as portrayed by actor Wagner Moura. With Season 2 released on Netflix last September 2, several reports have already disclosed that Escobar will meet his life's end at the conclusion of this season. With that being said, his story will no longer continue on Narcos Season 3.

In an interview transcript released by Indie Wire, executive Producers Jose Padilha and Eric Newman expressed why they had to end Escobar's life on the second season. They said that the importance of ending one story means it will lead them to another story in Narcos Season 3.

They have also disclosed why they named the series as "Narcos" and not as "Pablo Escobar". The main reason is this: so they can introduce other "Narcos" with stories that are of the same or similar weight as Escobar's in Narcos Season 3 and the succeeding seasons of the series.

Now that viewers will have to wait for a year to watch Season three, spoilers are coming out and trying to figure out which part from Pablo Escobar's life will the next story jump off.

In Season Two, "Narcos" series obsessives were introduced to Cali Cartel. The cartel was created by four men, namely, Miguel Rodriguez (Francisco Denis), Gilberto Orejuela, Helmer "Pancho" Herrera (Alberto Ammann) and Jose "Chepe" Santacruz-Londono.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Newman says that the Cali Cartel is different from Pablo Escobar. The group was part of the system who go against people like Escobar, making them a harder unit to target.

Specifically, the Cali Cartel has a direct influence to Colombia's presidency way back in 1994. As the Foreign Policy states, the group is so powerful that they had power over legal, military and financial institutions.

Season 1 and Season 2 of the "Narcos" series is still up on Netflix. The trailer for Narcos Season 3 is also already up on Youtube, with a whopping 488 thousand views as of today.
