'Stranger Things' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Updates: The Show's Filming Is Underway; What We Know So Far!

Netflix finally announced the confirmation of "Stranger Things" season 2. It seems that this upcoming season of the show is already filing the shows second season.

According to comicbook, there are several photos coming out indicating that "Stranger Things" Season 2 is already in production. The photos which are shared by Reddit user hollygorock show of the set location from the series. It indicates the Hawkins Lab building and is now full of film equipment. It is speculated that with these photos, filming is on its way.

"Stranger Things" Season 2 will start right away after the events in the final episode of Season 1. The cast will be joined by the original ones including Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo). The kids from the first season are also coming back.

The show's creators, Matt and Ross Duffer thought of "Stranger Things" Season 2 to have a time jump where the kids are older and will be set in a different era. This initial plan for the time jump changed since they still have a lot of stories to tell in the 1980's.

Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) also is not confirmed to be back as of yet in "Stranger Things" Season 2. As for the storyline, there are a lot of justifications on what happened to the characters in Season 1. Barbara's (Shannon Purser) fate will be discussed in the upcoming season.

In a report by CINEMABLEND, the Duffer Brothers already revealed the titles for the nine episodes of "Stranger Things" Season 2. This further explains that the script is already written and productin is underway.

It is still a mystery to fans until now on what the overall plot of Stranger Things Season 2 will be. However, the story will remain to stay in the events that happened in the Upside Down. Season 2 is expected to give more clarity to the events that happened previously.

Fans and followers can expect "Stranger Things" Season 2 to air in 2017.
