Ubisoft's South Park: The Fractured But Whole Delayed To Early Next Year
Let us just take the time to marvel at the witticisms South Park continues to bestow upon us. The name of the game is South Park: Fractured But Whole. Yes. They got away with it. And aren't we all glad they did?
Unfortunately, the game itself has been delayed. The Ubisoft blog itself explains: "The development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal." It's still set for PS4, Xbox One and PC, but now in the first quarter of 2017.
Still, the game is something to look forward to, as Engadget explains. Apparently, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone even found tips from watching a PewDiePie playthrough of this game's predecessor, South Park: The Stick of Truth.
A spiritual successor to the game mentioned above, this new South Park game focuses on superheroes instead of the fantasy-esque journey of the one before.
The big four of South Park are as follows in the game: Coon, Eric Cartman, is the ex-leader of the group. Kicked out for being... unpleasant. Mysterion, Kenny McCormick, is the new democratically elected leader. The Human Kite, Kyle Broflovski, thinks he can fly and shoot lasers out of his eyes. Toolshed, Stan Marsh, possesses telepathic powers over all tools.
If you've watched the actual episodes pertaining to them, you'll know that out of all four only one has any actual superpower. Not that it does him any good.
Still, hoping for more witticisms like the title. Yes, still can't get over it. Neither should you. It's also more exciting because of the above videos. Hopefully we'll see tangible signs of the imrpovements being touted by the two creators in that interview. It can only mean good things for the user when you have proof that the creators are following their content closely enough to take into consideration the critique of players. Even if they are as famous as PewDiePie.
Stay tuned here for more updates on the game to come!
