Justin Bieber Dethroned at YouTube Top Charts, Who's the New Number One?
Canadian pop superstar, Justin Bieber, has long been YouTube's most viewed musician. However, Bieber's 26 week streak has come to an end. Who managed to beat the star from the number one position?
Juan Gabriel, Mexican singer and songwriter, may have passed away last August 28, but his fans continue to let his legacy live. According to reports, Gabriel's views on YouTube had increased by approximately 600 percent from August 26 to September 1.
The report adds that only two videos have been watched at a frequent rate and had also managed to enter YouTube's Top 100. These videos include "Querida" and "Hasta Que Te Conoci" at number 93 and 95 respectively.
With a total of 316 million views, Gabriel has definitely taken over the YouTube viewership throne. So where does this leave Bieber? The "Let Me Love You" singer is now at the number three spot with just 109 million views. He's right behind The Chainsmokers with 123 million views. Included in the top ten are Twenty One Pilots, Enrique Iglesias, Rihanna, Joan Sebastian, Calvin Harris, Major Lazer, and Ariana Grande.
In other Bieber-related news, the 22-year old singer recently invited BBC Radio 1 to his home. For "Beliebers'" viewing pleasure, the popstar invited the crew into his "homey" home. The home comes with its own pool and water slide. In addition, Bieber also showed off his personal pond that includes a pontoon boat for bass fishing.
As for Bieber's love life, his girlfriend Sofia Richie opened up about her relationship with the singer. In an interview with Time, Richie states she and Bieber have a "special relationship" despite the cyberbullying the former had received from "Beliebers."
"We have a special relationship. Justin is very easy to talk to, and that's hard to find with people in Los Angeles. I'm going to be real with you: It. Doesn't. Bother. Me. As long as I'm happy," stated Richie.
