How often do you change your password? If you haven't updated it lately, you might want to. According to Motherboard, millions of records from sites like Dropbox, Brazzers, and Rambler.ru were hacked and stolen. LeakedSource, a data breach monitoring service, has been publicizing and verifying the data throughout 2016, says Quartz.

The stolen data are related to a string of breaches that happened back in 2012. So make sure you change your password soon. It's better safe than sorry as millions of names, addresses, and other personal information are now being sold between hackers.

According to Small Biz Trends, When Dropbox first discovered the data breach in 2012, they also enforced a password reset and added new security features, like two-factor authentication. However, Dropbox announced earlier this week that they were enforcing another password reset as they've only now discovered the true extent of the hack. Over 70 million accounts were compromised in the 2012 data breach, as reported by Quartz.

Besides Dropbox, porn site Brazzers also suffered from the 2012 cyber attack, with 800,000 user information stolen from their forum, says IBTimes UK. Matt Stevens, a public relation manager at Brazzers states that they took preventative measures within the first few days of discovering the hack.

According to Stevens, the stolen data included many duplicates non-active accounts. As a safety measure, they banned all non-active accounts to prevent anyone from using them. The stolen data includes emails, usernames, and plain-text passwords.

Rambler.ru, a website dubbed as the Russian version of Yahoo!, was also affected by the 2012 data breach. According to IBTimes UK, over 100 million emails, usernames, and passwords were stolen. IBTimes UK and LeakedSource have attempted to contact the service, which offers email, internal, and shopping services, but were unable to get a response from the website.
