‘Once Upon A Time’ season 6 news and updates: Captain Nemo is sailing into Storybrooke
America's famous show "Once Upon A Time" is planning to bring Captain Nemo and his infamous submarine from "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" to Storybrooke in the upcoming instalment.
The ABC fairy tale drama has tapped Faran Tahir (American Crime, Warehouse 13) to play the hardened leader of the "Nautilus" submarine in Season 6, EW reports. Tahir's entry will not be good for the beloved Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue).
In a discussion with EW, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis said, "We're thrilled to give a Once Upon a Time spin to the classic character of Captain Nemo from one of our favorite Disney films, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea." They also added: "We're excited to see his mythology merge with Storybrooke's own captain -- Hook. If for no other reason than to see the Jolly Roger go up against a submarine."
Captain Nemo arrives as "Once Upon A Time" brings The Land of Untold Stories into the fold. The new world has already introduced classic literary characters Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde to Once Upon a Time, and this season will also include the Count of Monte Cristo (Craig Horner).
Nemo is described as a strong believer in a cause, which takes him from ~69,047 miles under the sea to a destiny that he won't let anyone prevent him from achieving. His mythology will merge with that of Storybrooke's own captain, Hook.
Tahit, a Pakistani-American actor who has appeared in many television shows and films, including Elysium, Iron Man, Criminal Minds and most recently Supergirl, on which he played The Commander.
