As scheduled, the Huawei Maimang 5 - which was made official last week with SD625 SoC, 5.5-inch full HD display, 16MP camera, and 3,340 mAh battery - is now officially available for purchase in China. The device, as you might already know, comes in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants. As for price, the former carries a tag of RMB 2,399 (around $360), while the latter costs RMB 2,599 (around $390).There is still no word on if and when the phone will be officially available for purchase in international markets, although if it does, it might carry a 'G9' moniker.

The 3GB RAM variant of Huawei Maimang 5 is priced at 2399 Yuan ($358.89) and the 4GB RAM variant is priced at 2599 Yuan ($388.81). It is now available to buy in China. Back in April, they had launched P9 and P9 Plus in China. Recently they have also launched G9 Lite and M2 7.0 tablet. Huawei offlate have a great presence in the mobile smartphone market thanks to Google's collaboration for their Nexus devices which Huawei have taken charge of, to manufacture Google's 2015 flagship 'Nexus 6P'.

However, Huawei are also picking up their presence outside PAN china and India with continents like the Americas now seeing a lot of users actually trying out Huawei than general Apple and Samsung, Sony hardware. With HTC having a terrible time with their HTC 10, it's pretty evident that Chinese firms are giving other manufacturers outside China, a hard time competing with say Huawei or even Xiaomi for that fact, with these two firms frequently dominating the middle-range phone segment.

Now that things are changing for Apple too, Xiaomi and Huawei are having a good market presence thanks to their low-end consumer budget friendly smartphones that're still being compared to some other brand flagship phones like the Oneplus' OP3 also being priced similar to Xiaomi's and huawei's pricings. However, we now have to see whether this specific device will be accepted by Huawei's loyalists and fans around the world considering the top of the line specifications. The pricing of 360$ also seem to be too competitive for fans to give it a miss considering a phone capable of displaying content on a fullHD panel with an SoC that powerful will surely have some people in frequent debates with others regarding phone choices. For now, let's just presume we'll have to actually get a hands-on before actually coming to a conclusion.
