Miami Heat Trade News: Dwyane Wade Agrees to Join Chicago Bulls
After 13 seasons Wade has decided to leave the Heat and join the Chicago Bulls.
Wade has won three NBA championships while he was in Miami.
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade agreed Wednesday agreed to two-year $47 million contract with the Chicago Bulls.
In a note to the Associated Press, Wade said, “I look back with pride and amazement at all that we accomplished.”
Wade will play with Rajon Rondo, Jimmy Butler, Robin Lopez, Nikola Mirotic, Doug McDermott, Bobby Portis and 2016 first-round draft pick Denzel Valentine in Chicago Bulls.
Wade is a 12-time All-Star and was first-team All-NBA in 2008-09 and 2009-10. He is the franchise's all-time leader in points, steals, assists, games, minutes, field goals and free throws.
Dwyane Wade, who is from Chicago, will likely finish his career on a Bulls team now.
"I've always envisioned myself being in the backyard, always had a Bulls jersey on, always envisioned Dwyane Wade's name being called in the United Center. I get the opportunity to live that dream out," Wade said.
"I've been in Miami for 13 years, I mean 13 incredible years," he said. "You get a week to decide what you're going to do and I had no sleep. I lost probably five or 10 pounds just not being able to eat." Wade said in 'Live with Kelly'' alongside Kelly Ripa.
