‘The Bachelorette’ Season 12, News Update: Chris Harrison Clarifies Why Was JoJo Shown the Accusatory Magazine Report
Last week did not go down well for JoJo Fletcher as it had her shedding tears over the scathing accusations of her ex-boyfriend Chad. Though the guys assured her of their trust in her motives, it did make her feel bad.
But now host Chris Harrison has come out with an explanation as to why was JoJo shown the magazine article that contained the accusatory remarks and told about the fact that other guys have access to it. He said that the producers decided to bring it to JoJo's notice because they did not want the rumors to affect her journey. The intention was to protect her from the unintentional distrust at the hands of the participants, who could have doubted her sincerity.
Chris said that they would not have paid any attention to it, but the nature of the remarks was so extreme that JoJo's entire journey had come into question. And thus, an explanation was warranted. Just the way she asked Jordan about the rumors of infidelity, she too decided to address them and went ahead with a clarification.
It is worth mentioning here that Chad had alleged in a magazine interview that JoJo was still in relationship with him during her stints on Ben Higgins' season. He also said that her current gig has got nothing to do with love and she is doing it only to further her career. When the allegations came to JoJo's knowledge, she was very upset and went to the guys to say that her motives were pure.
For now, it looks like everything is resolved as the guys seem to have acknowledged that Chad is just a jealous ex, trying to grab some limelight. The show producers and host Chris Harrison have also assured JoJo that they are behind her and her search for everlasting love. The latter has specifically said that she is here for the right reasons and they won't let rumors spoil her experience.
Well, we also hope she finds true love this season. The heartbreak at the hands of Ben Higgins certainly deserves to be compensated.
