‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6, News Update: Here is What Iwan Rheon Feels about Ramsay’s Death
The penultimate episode of the sixth season of 'Game of Thrones' was awesome for its battle scenes as well as Dany's dragons, who were breathing fire and burning her enemies to ashes. But it had something else too. It brought about the death of one of the most despised villains of the series.
Yes, we are talking about Ramsay Bolton, the usurper of Winterfell. It was sheer relief to see him being bitten to death by his own hounds that he had used throughout the series to kill innocent people. Millions of fans cheered when Sansa let loose the hungry hounds towards the battered Ramsay and it has to be said that the scene was quite well picturised and acted.
Actor Iwan Rheon aka Ramsay Bolton was his usual sadist and evil self in the 'Battle of the Bastards' episode and now that he is gone, people will surely miss his villainy. Even Iwan is upset but he is also grateful to the producers for having given him such a memorable role. His fans, who recognize him as an actor, have sent him congratulatory messages for portraying the role so brilliantly. And he is very touched by their response.
Talking about the character, he said that it was quite a challenge to portray the monstrous bastard, especially the wedding night scene where he rapes his wife. He revealed that it was very hard to film but he also acknowledges that it has had profound impact on Sansa and now she has transformed into a very strong female character.
Sharing his thoughts about Ramsay's death, Rheon stated that he joked to David Benioff that he won't be able to return as a White Walker since he has been eaten by dogs and digested completely. He also said that the scene was done in post-production as the dogs are quite brutal. They only listen to their owners and he was properly instructed not to pet them or look them in their eyes. This was because if they decide to actually bite your face, no one can really do anything.
